Peaceful Cadzand

People often say photographers 'have an eye' for it, but capturing a consistent series like these five peaceful Cadzand sunrises also takes a lot of work. My first attempt was, frankly, rubbish – dirty lens, blurry, noisy images. So, I went back. I spent another night in my van, waking at 5:30 AM to try again. There is real satisfaction in hearing that these images bring a sense of calm and ease to those who view them. And I really needed something peaceful myself after all the terrible news in the world lately.
